Luckily our hockey team won their opener. Despite no fans in the arena, it was something to celebrate. It is also important to give respect to Sheldon Adelson, the owner of the Sands Corporation and one of the wealthiest persons in the world. Not only did he generously donate to Las Vegas but to endless charities around the globe. He will be missed.
On a lighter note; dinner at Mastroni's was excellent. At a time when family-run restaurants are struggling, they were as full as allowed during Covid. The service was impeccable, the food, with generous portions, was super tasty and beautifully presented. Even the dessert, cream puffs, were light and tasty. A fifteen minute trip from the strip, every morsel is worth the time.
Today, all the tourists will find themselves cloaked in sunshine with temps in the low 70s. There is so much to love while living in Las Vegas! Come and visit and while you are lying around the lagoon pool, read A Las Vegas Affair.
